¿Primavera? Spring time?

Vaya tiempo. Deberíamos haber guardado los abrigos y las chaquetas de lana hace ya rato, pero el frío y la lluvia se resisten a abandonarnos. Un año más se produce la paradoja de pasear a escasos 8 grados y ver todos los escaparates de las tiendas con bikinis, shorts, pareos… Me entra frío sólo de ver los maniquís. Aquí en Inglaterra hasta le encuentro sentido porque la gente va en sandalias incluso en diciembre, pero para las más frioleras como yo, aquí van algunas ideas de cómo mezclar prendas veraniegas con otras más abrigadas para no pasar frío.

Will we enjoy Spring this year or we´ll just jump from Winter into Summer? We should have put away all the coats and the thick jackets by now, but it´s still too cold and rainy. So once again, I get this weird feeling when walking by the street, with barely 9º, all I can see in the shop windows are bikinis, shorts… Just watching the mannequins I feel cold. For those people more sensitive to the cold like me, here are a few ideas of how to combine the new summery items with warmer stuff.

• Shorts
  Yo apuesto por ir sin medias siempre que el frío sea soportable. Sí, incluso si tienes patuchas blancas como yo. Quedan especialmente bien con americanas largas, con algo sobrio. Así te puedes atrever con shorts de colores o más arriesgados.
  As long as it´s not too cold I love bare legs. I like wearing shorts with formal jackets, like the ones in the photos. That way you can go for more daring options, not only jeans.

• Vestidos / Dresses
  Con chaquetas de lana gorda de abuelita y sin medias. Los calcetines ayudan a no pasar mucho frío…
  With thick wool jackets and no tights. 

• Minifaldas / Miniskirts
  Me encantan las de cuero, aunque te congeles en invierno y te frías en verano. Ahora es su mejor momento. Con camisas de cuello bebé y rebecas de punto se suaviza el look.
  Sandalias +  calcetines o medias = definitivamente funciona.
  I love the leather ones, although they are not warm enough for Winter and I don´t want to describe how you feel when you wear them in Summer. So… now it´s the time! With Peter Pan collars and rebecca jackets the look is softened.
  Sandals + socks = definitely works.

• Faldas irregulares / Dip Back or Assymetric Skirts
  También muy de moda ahora. A riesgo de verte demasiado vestida con ellas, ¿qué tal llevarlas con playeras?
  Still quite trendy. I like them, but whenever I try one on, I can´t help feeling dressed up. I love the idea of wearing them with sneakers, like the girl in the photo. 

• Petos / Dungarees
  Ya, juré y perjuré que odio los petos. Pero éste de cuero…
  I know, I said I hate them. But this leather one…
